Best Trading Book Ever
This review is from: Trade Like a Stock Market Wizard: How to Achieve Super Performance in Stocks in Any Market (Hardcover) This book if read carefully and followed could shorten the learning curve by years for anyone trying to get into trading. I have been trading as long as the author and I learned a lot from this book. There is so much crap out there now in the "trading" book area; this is the real deal. I love the approach of fundamental and technical analysis instead of the mindless "use this setup and don't worry about what it is you are trading" lazy approach that seems so prevalent now. The risk management section should be read and reread until it is second nature. Destined to become a trading classic, possibly should also be part of a business school curriculum. Crazy low price for the information imparted.

Best Book I Have Ever Read on Stock
This review is from: Trade Like a Stock Market Wizard: How to Achieve Super Performance in Stocks in Any Market This is without a doubt the best book I ever read on stock trading. If you enjoyed the O'Neil book, "How to Make Money in Stocks", then this takes it to the next level of the game. Like O'Neil's book, you have to read Minervini's several times because it's incredibly comprehensive and detailed. The difference is Minervini's book has more actionable advice. It's very specific and "step-by-step". He conveys the lessons perfectly clear. I'm very excited to put Minervini's ideas and methods into my daily routine. I've been waiting for this book for a long time now. I knew it was going to be special when I heard that three-time US Investing Champion, David Ryan, wrote the Forward to the book.

Must read book
This review is from: Trade Like a Stock Market Wizard: How to Achieve Super Performance in Stocks in Any Market (Hardcover) This is a great book. It is an absolute steal for $13. I would pay ten times that amount for this book. Minervini's system is very similar to CANSLIM. Minervini spends the first part of his book discussing some misconceptions that many investors believe such as overvaluing the importance of PE and buying stocks because they appear cheap. In the next section he discusses the fundamental traits of big winners, such as the need for EPS and sales growth. Chapters 9 and 10 are an absolute gold mine. In chapter 9, Mark discusses how to find market leaders and in chapter 10 he discusses pivot points and how to enter the stock at the right time. If you've read How to make...

Recommended recommended!
I bought this book few weeks ago. I have many years of experience in investing in multiasset, even if I changed many styles with single stocks. Few years ago I discovered O'Neill book about Canslin and I liked it a lot. I tried to use it and I passed from losing a bit to gaining a bit. But I still needed something more. I bought other 2 books in the meantime (both trend following oriented because I understood that is the style for me) and I improved my performance. But not yet at the level I liked. After thinking a lot and reading positive reviews, I decided to give a chance to Minervini book I was quite impressed, I think is a very good one and I regret it wasn't written before. I read it 3 times already, taking notes on my diary to create the plan and each time I find an idea or adv....

Brilliant Book by a Brilliant Man
This is a brilliant book written by an equally brilliant person. The book should be looked at as part 2 of the author's orginal Trade Like a Stock Market Wizard. The original book describes the author's approach to taking positions in the market, including the fundamentals he looks at and the technical signals he looks for. The current book continues this discussion but is more focused on the technicals. He speaks about money management, elaborates more on the VCP concept he uses for entry and gives a more full discussion of exit techniques when you are in profit. This is the hardest part of trading and he gives multiple guidelins for exit. I must admit, I am not all that convinced that there is much more to it than the reward to risk ratio. The additional signs to look for to decide an...

The Best Investment Book... Ever
I first started taking control of my own finances sometime around 15 years ago, and like many others I suspect, I made many many mistakes. I read as much as I could, and whilst there was lots of good stuff out there that taught me loads about company accounts, BS, P&L and Cash Flow statements, and gave copious amounts of advice on the plethora of ratios that you can use to analyse specific stocks as well as charting, after years of reading although I was somewhat wiser and periodically successful, I still lacked a plan and an approach by which I could make any success I achieved stick. After ten years, I even got to the stage where I was on the point of capitulation, after a particularly unsuccessful period. It all seemed more effort than it was worth and I was ready to...

5 stars are not enough to rate this book!
5 stars are not enough to rate this book. Reading it was a life changing event for me. Having next to no knowledge in trading, I always saw the market as a place for the chosen few. Trading was some kind of grey activity in my mind. In my ignorance, I often associated it with betting. Minervini destroyed all my cliches detailing his rigorous, analytical, risk-first SEPA trading system, while taking me on a trip from his early days to his success. He also puts great emphasis on the psychology behind the market and the average trader giving you a full perspective of what successful trading entails. Mark is a great motivator. Even though the book has a technical nature, he acts more like a friend than a teacher. He is constantly presenting facts with a no BS approach...

Expert advice on when to buy and when to sell
Mark Minervini is not only one of the world's most successful stock traders, he is also an excellent teacher. This book is full of clear and readable advice for traders. It is essential to realise that the book is not for long-term, buy-and-hold investors but for those who want to buy and sell over a period of weeks or month. Mark uses the price of a share as the only true guide to its value. He recommends buying when the stock is in an uptrend - and he defines an uptrend in some detail. On the whole he prefers to ignore fundamental metrics and focus on the chart action. He is also dedicated to risk management, and he advises the quick sale of shares that are falling in value. This book is highly readable, but it's not a recipe for getting rich quick...

100 plus years of proven facts in one book
Most important to me is the clear and concise style of Mark's writing and instructions. With only my high school education I often struggle to decipher the information in some of the books I attempt to educate myself with. No problems in this book. Charts and graphs are illustrated and explained in an easy to understand format. Many lessons in this book to show that the forces that moved stocks up or down 100 years ago are the same now because human nature is the same. The same chart patterns appear over and over again. Mark teaches how to interpret what the charts are telling us. They have a language of their own and traders need to learn that language. He explains that there's the science of stock trading which is the first step and then the art....

Honestly informative and to the point!
As most other traders on the globe, I myself have read numerous books on finance and trading in particular. Most of the reputable books written by well known authors in the trading realm. I came across Mark's book because I have subscribed to his tweeter feed. At first I wasn't sure if he was just always promoting his book to compensate from the sales. But I did more research on him and his background. On his website he mentions his annual event that he hosts, and last year he had David Ryan as guest speaker at that event. If you haven't heard of David Ryan, please read Market wizard by Jack Schwager. I said to myself if David Ryan had written a foreword to this book I should at least read it and evaluate it's content. I must say I was very impressed. Literally, this...

Inspiring!
This book completely changed the way that I approach the stock market! Before buying, I had to admit to myself that I sucked at trading so that I could truly be open-minded to his strategy. Deep inside I knew that I could be great...and after reading and applying his teachings, honestly, I don't think there is a better resource out there! The book is organized in a great way, making it easy to read (and re-read). After attending his Master Trader Program last week, it's almost like the book comes to life when you re-read it! I can hear Mark's commentary as I go through it...which is frequently sarcastic and hilarious. Transformational experiences here...I highly, highly recommend reading and attending in October 2020! It could change your life! Can't say enough about how good these books are...

Thank You
When it comes to Trading, you NEED a fundamental understanding or in other words, you need to develop screening criteria to find growth companies. YOU ALSO NEED criteria to help you TIME your entry. When you put both together (fundamental criteria + Technical to help time your entry) you dramatically improve your chances of a successful trade. So now you are probably wondering , "How Do I find this criteria" . My Answer, this BOOK is the BEST Start. I read Marks books over and over again every month or at the LEAST every other month. After you read this book its on YOU to control your emotions. Mark will not hold your hand, your mom will not hold your hand. Every Trade is on YOU! Your decision, your click to buy , your click to sell. This book covers Emotions to avoid...

Great read filled with wisdom
Mark provides some very practical tools to turn any loser into a winner. It's all about mindset. He gives you the insight into the human psyche so that you can stop dwelling on your failures and start winning by thinking about your successes. Learn from your failures, don't dwell on them. He teaches you to visualize your success, that's it more important how you feel about what happened to your past than what did happen to you, how you respond and turn that into winning strategy. It's never too late to become the person you want to be, embrace the moment and the journey. Focus on your daily activities and you will become what you do every day. You have the power to decide ; no one does that for you. Anyhow I've only touched on the book. There are a lot of hidden gems in there...

Outstanding
Mark's new book, "Mind Set Secrets" this book is good for everyone at every age. Great for no matter what you do, whether it's trading stocks, working on your golf swing, relationships, or just getting to know yourself. It teaches you how to observe, train, learn and apply. I have been trading stocks full time now for the past 12 years, and about 15 years prior to that I dabbled in the market. A couple of years ago I began listening to Mark and reading his books, I read them all, not just once but many times, highlighting all the important/essential principals and ideas, things really began to make sense to me. In January 2019 I signed up for Mark's Private Access, that along with the book's things started to tie together - I have always believed when the student is in the ...

Great book!
found this book to be good for generating position trading entry ideas, as well as helping to find possible "super stocks." In truth, I felt like it read like a Minervinized version of an O'Neil book. I also liked the pages describing using a 10% stop (as opposed to the 7-8% IBD rule which the insiders seem to expertly pick off like crazy if you experience any slippage when entering at a pivot) as well as the difference a 30% vs 40% win/loss ratio has. I think there is good value in this book, and certainly worth reading. Having said that, I think this is a better book for those who are looking to grow wealth, instead of those who need to trade for income. As Minervini states clearly in the book, nobody knows how high...

Five Stars
Steve Burns posted on twitter the name of Mark's book. I had read in "Stock Market Wizards" the chapter on Mark and was very interested but had no idea he had written a book. One reviewer, said he didn't tell everything, I disagree wholeheartedly. Its is a book I will reread many times and already have started the second time, there is so much to absorb. My favorite chapters, 12 and 13 are on risk management. I almost think they should have been chapter 1 and 2 they are so striking in the information put forth. . The charts he published in his chapter "A picture is worth a million dollars" not only show charts of stocks that have performed amazingly, but shows his entries, how the stocks earnings have improved as...
